Basic Purpose:
This individual will be the team lead for the online services development team. Mission Research is looking for a senior web services engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of online services for our small-business and non-profit desktop products. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of a new product line based around web services which provide online tools for our growing base of desktop customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy online services solutions.
• Manage the highly-available datacenter that houses the online services infrastructure.
• Work with other team members to deliver solutions.
• Lead a small team of developers.
• Create design specifications.
• Create, manage and adhere to delegated project budgets.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• 5 years experience designing, developing, and deploying web-based solutions.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of related Microsoft development languages and technologies, including ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL Server and Windows Server.
• Must understand the software development process.
• Experience with infrastructure design, hardware requirements, redundancy issues, etc.
• Strong time management skills required.
• Fast and motivated learner – needs to get up-to-speed on GiftWorks application, and corporate structure independently and quickly.
• Must possess the skills and personality to lead a small team to accomplish goals and objectives.

• Understanding of nonprofit organizations or small businesses
